Over the past six-and-a-half years, Theresa and I have watched God do awesome things in people’s lives and in the Morning Star Fellowship family. We are truly amazed and thankful for you—our friends—and your partnership in this ministry to accomplish the vision God has given to us.
In September 2010, we celebrated our six-year anniversary as a ministry here in Quakertown, and we have never been more excited about the future plans that God has placed before us! So many people have come to Christ, come back to Christ, or have found the real purpose for their lives in Christ, and because of that we’re taking the opportunity to build right here on 9th and Main. Our executive leadership team has prayed, and you as a church family have prayed and said, “Yes, this is a God thing!” We believe that the time for us to move forward is now.
On February 13, 2011, we will kick off our capital campaign called Build for LIFE (Living in Freedom Every Day), which will run through March 20th.
God has given us His plan, and He’s promised us His provision. Now He’s calling us to do our part—to pray and to give our very best! As the apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 9:6–8: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Imagine if every family did their part to see our new facility become a reality. Imagine the people we could reach; the lives that God could touch and make whole. Imagine the stories that could be told for generations to come! So let’s build for life and enable people to live in freedom every day.
Building together,
John and Theresa

It’s not about buildings! It’s all about people knowing Christ and having a heart change. It’s about hurts, habits, and hang-ups being healed; marriages restored; families strengthened; friendships made. These are the things that have brought us to this point. So why should we build? Why should we give? Why should we sacrifice? Your investment is not in buildings. It’s in changed lives! Let’s build together!

What Is My Part?
As you can imagine, the cost of building our future campus is too great for only a few to undertake. We must each take part in this vision. While we cannot all give the same amount, we can all make sacrificial commitments. For some, a sacrificial gift over two years may be $1,000. For others, it may be closer to $100,000 or more. What's more important in deciding what to give is to pray and ask God, "God, what do You want my part to be?" As you seek God's lead, consider these questions:
1. Is this amount just what I think I can afford, or is it what God wants me to give?
2. Does this amount express my gratitude for God's work in my life and in my church?
3. Does this amount really stretch my faith?

How to Give My Part
On Commitment Sunday, March 13th, every family will turn in their Faith Promise Card at church. The following week on First Fruits Sunday, March 20th, everyone will bring their most generous cash offering to begin their two-year commitment. As you prepare for those very important events, follow these steps to make your commitment:
Step 1: Determine God’s will.
Step 2: Fill out and bring your commitment Faith Promise card on March 13, 2011. Write down the amount of your faith commitment over the next 24 months.
Step 3: Bring your First Fruits offering on March 20, 2011; place it in the special Build for LIFE envelope which will be supplied; and indicate your initial cash gift on the envelope. If you can’t attend that day, please mail, give online, or call the church office by Thursday, March 17, 2011, so your pledge can be included in the total that will be announced.

Questions and Answers
When would we start building?
We desire to establish a substantial capital base and start to build with as little debt as possible. Late summer or early fall 2011 is our projection.
How much cash in our First Fruits offering are we hoping to raise?
With God, anything is possible. After much prayer and discussion, our leadership team believes we could raise $600,000. Then with our cash and faith promises over the next two years, we believe we can meet our financial obligations.
Will my giving/commitment be made public?
No. Only the total of all the commitments received will be announced.
What is the projected cost?
Approximately $3,000,000.
What if I’m already giving to the church?
First, know that your current giving is appreciated and necessary for the current operations of our ministry. If you are tithing, please prayerfully consider making a financial commitment over and above the tithe. If you are not, please prayerfully consider making a financial commitment over and above your current giving.
If you have a question about the project, please email staff@mstarqtown.org.
