When In Romans | Week 6 | Faith | Pastor John Decker
John Decker   -

Sermon Summary
In this week’s message, we explore the journey of Abraham and the essence of faith as presented in Romans Chapter 4. The sermon delves into the life of Abraham, highlighting his unwavering belief in God’s promises despite his old age and seemingly impossible circumstances. The Apostle Paul uses Abraham’s story to illustrate that righteousness comes through faith, not works, and that God’s promises are received by trusting in Him. The message emphasizes that faith is not just believing in God but believing God for His promises, adjusting our lives accordingly, and living with expectation.

Intro Prayer
Heavenly Father, as we gather today to reflect on Your word and the message we have heard, we ask for open hearts and minds. May we be receptive to the lessons of faith exemplified by Abraham, and may Your Spirit guide our discussion. Help us to trust in Your promises and to walk in the assurance of Your love and grace. May our fellowship be pleasing to You, and may we discover the truths You have for us today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Ending Prayer
Lord, we thank You for the time we have spent in fellowship and discussion. As we depart from one another, may the seeds of faith planted today grow and bear fruit in our lives. Help us to hold fast to Your promises, to live by faith, and to encourage one another in our walk with You. May our lives reflect the trust and hope we have in You, just as Abraham’s did. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
